LANSING – State Representative Steve Lindberg (D-Marquette) today announced that Upper Peninsula native Jeremy Hosking has been named as Lindberg's new legislative aide in Lansing.
"As someone who was born and raised in the Upper Peninsula, Jeremy understands the special way of life we enjoy up north, and I know he will work hard to protect that way of life," Lindberg said. "Jeremy has done an outstanding job as my district aide, and I am thrilled that has brought his wealth of experience and exuberance downstate to assist me in Lansing."
Before coming to Lansing, Hosking worked as Lindberg's in-district aide in the 109th District, which includes Marquette, Alger, Schoolcraft and Luce counties. Last summer, he served as a legislative intern in Lindberg's Lansing office.
A native of Palmer, Hosking graduated from Northern Michigan University in 2007 with a bachelor's degree in political science and a minor in history. He is the son of Mark Hosking and Lora Sargent.
"I look forward to continuing to work with Representative Lindberg and his other staff to better serve the people of the 109th State House District and the rest of the state of Michigan," Hosking said.
